Highlights
Last December, my journey at Airtable ended and while it was bittersweet, I was extremely grateful for all of the opportunities and the experiences that I had there. I worked with the most innovative companies on complex problems and the best part was that I got to do all of this with some of the best and brightest people I’ve ever worked with.
When this last chapter closed, my community reached out - they checked in on me and asked if there was anything I needed help with. Even though I wasn’t ready yet, having that guidance and support made a huge difference and I’m eternally grateful for everyone that has helped me, as I’ve decided next steps.
After taking some time off and moving cross-country, I’m excited to share that I started at Figma this week as an Onboarding Manager with the Customer Experience team.
As I mentioned above, I wouldn’t be starting this next chapter without my community and I wanted to take a moment to shout out some of them.
Naomi Mbakwe (she / her), Victoria Plummer, Giovanni Briggs, Lila Cantor, Emily Faraone, Paola Cordovez Cereceda, and Sydney Clark: Thank you for your sage advice and unwavering encouragement over these last couple of weeks (and years). You’ve let me pick your brains, talk your ears off, and your support has been immeasurable.
Andrew Lipovsky and Highrise, Inc.: Thank you for your influential guidance and coaching over this last year and half. I’ve gained a better understanding of my values, my skills, and where I want to be when it comes to my personal and professional growth. I’ve accomplished things I didn’t think were possible through my Highrise journey. Highrise, Inc. has been such a great investment into my future and I cannot thank this community and team enough!
Last but not least, Shani C. Taylor - your mentorship has been invaluable. With your guidance, I made it through my first demo at Airtable (eek!) and have learned more about what it means to truly be a partner to customers. I can’t wait to start this next chapter under your leadership!
Like an Oscars speech, I’m probably forgetting people and this post has gone on for far too long (I’ve rarely been succinct), but I want to use this space to recognize some of the folks who have helped me get to where I am today. Thank you so much and I’m excited for this next journey!
