Mikaela Cashman

Mikaela Cashman is a post-doctoral researcher at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, specializing in high-performance computing for biology and high-throughput phenotype studies.

She completed her PhD in Computer Science at Iowa State University in 2020, focusing on providing interpretable solutions to configurable software in biosciences through software engineering methodologies.

Her technical interests include software testing, machine learning, and systems biology.

Prior to her PhD, Mikaela obtained a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where she worked in the ESQuaRed lab for Empirically Based Software Quality Research.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and Computer Science from Coe College.

Throughout her academic journey, Mikaela has been involved in various roles including research intern, graduate research assistant, graduate teaching assistant, and tutor at universities and research institutions.
