"Asking people to change their usual habits is an uphill battle."

Thanks to Ellen Sheng and CNBC for including me in this story on the challenges Amazon - and all eCommerce retailers - face as they look to reduce the environmental impact from their shipping packaging.

At Returnity Innovations, we're building a successful #reusablepackaging foundation for brands and retailers that lowers carbon impact today - and builds the confidence and experience to intelligently expand shipping in reusables in the future.

Amazon's portfolio-based, data-driven approach to packaging use is the best way forward. Reuse is and will be part of the mix; look to the retailers that are transparent and embrace the realities of consumer behavior to continue to separate themselves.

Vuori takes sustainability seriously.

At Returnity Innovations, we pitched how our Last Boxes would lower the environmental impact of their logistics and create operations savings. Vuori, to their credit, said "prove it", and so we ran a pilot last year.

We're proud to announce that Vuori has now deployed our boxes for all of their U.S. store logistics.

This initial implementation will: 📦 Eliminate the use of over 100,000 cardboard boxes as each Last Box replaces the use of at least 50 cardboard boxes and 25 feet of packaging tape 📦 Cut packaging and substantially lower operational costs 📦 Reduce box unpack labor by 50%

If you are still doing store inventory fulfillment in corrugated cardboard, you aren't doing it right. #reusablepackaging #circularity #returnity
