Highlights
Exactly one year ago, our beloved son Michael tragically passed away while playing football for Crowland Town FC. At the tender age of 23, his sudden loss was beyond our worst nightmares as parents. The ensuing year has been incredibly tough for me, our family, and all of Michael's friends, colleagues, and teammates.
Words fall short when trying to convey the depth of my grief. The love a parent has for their child is unique, in my opinion. Our hearts are like houses with many rooms, each with doors we choose to open or close. But the room filled with a child's love doesn't even have a door—it's an ever-present, unconditional love.
Navigating grief doesn't come with a manual; each of us must find our own path through it. However, the support from those around us is crucial.
During this time, I've been incredibly fortunate to receive overwhelming support and love from my colleagues at Bentley Systems who have have given me another family. Susanne Trierscheid , Aditi Joshi , Antony Joseph, Jonas Valiunas , Ari Rantasalo , Molly Brown , Smruti Mahapatra, Robert Mankowski and to all my colleagues across the globe that I work with daily, thank you for your understanding and unwaivering support.
It has meant so much to me, and my family, to not go through this alone and to have people and spaces that provide comfort, security and safety.
You may have thought MP99 had gone quiet… no, we have been busy delivering more mobile defibrillators. I have spent the morning with Thorney FC and the afternoon with Deeping Rangers. Thank you to both teams for the hospitality and support.
If you would like to donate please go the JustGiving page or email [email protected] for a regular donation of just £1 pcm.
