Without a clear understanding of constituent concern and sentiment, they just hear party leadership and big donors. They Can’t Hear Us Representatives want to understand and serve their constituents, but they have poor resources: - Polls: snapshots that age quickly - town halls: time-consuming, stuffed with outsiders - petitions: single issue focus - phone calls: time consuming for staff and difficult to categorize – Email: no shortage, here: congress receives nearly 1.5 billion email each year – over 20% are fake/bots, and most can’t be understood. Senators average 18,000/day; House Members – 6,000. All yield little understanding. There’s no shortage of “information”, there’s a shortage of data. Representatives need a clear picture of their constituents’ sentiment. They don’t need to spend time digging through thousands of words to find it. We fix this with software that makes it simple for constituents to comment on major issues of the day and for representatives to clearly see concerns of their district.
