Many people are talking about how AI/ML techniques are going to end or change software development. My take: AI/ML techniques have a long history of enabling CaSE (computer-aided software engineering) and will continue to do so in new and interesting ways, but are an evolutionary change.

And to recent CS & data science graduates who are finding themselves in a really tough job market: it sucks right now but your jobs aren't going to be automated away, so focus on fundamentals while looking for opportunities to understand how your work relates helps people and fits into the organisations around you.

My 8 year old is doing a report for school on cyber security so I thought I'd dig up an old report for a break-the-web level security vulnerability that we silently fixed and which, as far as I know, has never been disclosed.
