☕️Weeknotes No.66☕️
The school holidays are here, so, if you need support and a hug - I'm here.
A productive office stint in Cambridge (shoutout to Haydyn for the stellar support). We ran workshops, shaped plans, and as a bonus nailed down design decisions on a whiteboard in just 30 minutes— just shows how great getting in a room is and letting the brain do the talking. Speaking of rooms...not all was smooth sailing, a bug hit me hard, turning my hotel room into a 24-hour quarantine zone.
Back at the desk, I’ve been revamping the project's UI, giving it a sharp new vibe and look, the team’s support has been fantastic, and I’m currently knee-deep in Figma, prototyping our latest design. Can’t wait to put it in front of real users and get some honest feedback—bring on the iteration!
Also, I’ve been diving back into the wild world of Tiger King (yes, again), and let me just say… what a ride. We need a talk, all of us and to help me work out what the heck I just watched.

☕️Weeknotes: Episode 65☕️ Adventures, UI, and True Crime Obsessions
Fortnightly instead of weekly.. but shh who's counting? Hay fever's been my enemy, but family walks (or getting 'lost,' as my wife calls it) have kept us all moving, however crappy the weather has been.
Home renovations are in full swing, room by room my wife Emma is mastering the paintbrush while I stay far away from any design decisions, it's just better for us all this way.
Workwise, the UI/UX balance has been a focus—making it work and look good is the real challenge, but isn't that always the case?
The team's excitement and want for structured, iterative design is fantastic and one that keeps me on my toes, iterating and improving constantly - this is kind of the designer living the dream!
I’m exploring new places for food (send recommendations!) in and around Leeds/Bradford and cheering for England in the Euros, despite the nail-biting last-minute-great-subs snorefest matches.
Also, if you're into podcasts, why wouldn't you be, if you like murder, despair and all of that stuff (someone shouts from the back CULTS?) check out True Crime Obsessed—it's a gem!
