Mira Azarm is an Innovation Instigator at the University of Maryland's Academy for Innovation & Entrepreneurship. She specializes in teaching classes on sustainability, design, innovation principles, and the design process.

Mira is renowned for developing interdisciplinary, experiential coursework and tools that incorporate social design methodologies, design thinking, and the creative process. She focuses on cultivating innovation-oriented cultures within various organizations.

In addition to her role at UMD, Mira teaches in the MA/MBA in Design Leadership program at the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA), where she completed the prestigious Robert W. Deutsch Fellowship.

She has also served as a Design Coach for the World Bank, where she utilized human-centered design methods to support climate innovation centers for local 'green' entrepreneurs globally.

Mira's educational background includes a Master of Arts in Social Design from The Maryland Institute College of Art and Bachelor's degrees from the University of Maryland in Design and Applied Arts, as well as Art Studio with a concentration in Graphic Design.

Throughout her career, Mira has held various roles such as Instructor, Advisor, Delegate, Founder, and Designer in organizations like the Maryland Institute College of Art, University of Maryland, and the World Bank.

Her expertise spans from learning experience design and social innovation to brand management and graphic design. Mira's dedication to fostering innovation in both educational settings and real-world applications showcases her as a versatile and impactful professional.
