She pursued her Master of Laws (LLM) specializing in International and European Law at Universiteit Utrecht, showcasing a strong academic background in the field.

Mirela has held various key positions in renowned organizations, including currently serving as the Director of Policy at ICVA (International Council of Voluntary Agencies), where she contributes significantly to shaping policies and strategies.

Her previous roles reflect her diverse skill set and extensive knowledge, having worked as a Consultant in Migration, Human Rights, Child Protection, and PSEAH in Switzerland, an Advocacy Coordinator for Refugees and Migrants in Europe at UNICEF, and a Thematic Advisor at Terre des hommes foundation.

Prior to that, she also served as a Child Protection Lawyer at TACT Project within the Terre des hommes Foundation, showcasing her commitment to safeguarding the rights of children and vulnerable populations.

Additionally, Mirela has experience as a Media legal researcher at the Albanian Media Institute, further diversifying her expertise and demonstrating a broad understanding of legal and policy frameworks.

With her rich background and comprehensive experience in the domain of International Law, Policy Analysis, and Advocacy, Mirela Shuteriqi continues to be a prominent figure in the field, driving impactful change and promoting human rights and child protection on a global scale.
