Mitch Higashi

Mitch Higashi is a seasoned professional in the field of Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) with over 20 years of experience. He served as Vice President of HEOR at Bristol-Myers Squibb (BMS) from July 2016 to October 2021.12 In this role, he led a department responsible for generating evidence to support market access, medical strategy, and research in oncology, hematology, immunology, and cardiovascular disease.2

Throughout his career, Higashi has contributed significantly to the field of HEOR. He has co-authored 20 peer-reviewed papers, including publications in JAMA, and has served on the Board of Directors for the University of Washington Foundation and the ISPOR Health Science Policy Council.2
As of December 11, 2023, Mitch Higashi joined ISPOR—The Professional Society for Health Economics and Outcomes Research as Associate Chief Science Officer, where he contributes to the development and deployment of ISPOR's science and content strategies.3
