Hi there! #Feedback requested! I'm not sure if all my LinkedIn peeps know this, but I offer #AI Accelerator expeditions to teams looking to launch gen AI initiatives (even if the rest of their company isn't ready yet). I'd like your feedback on what should be added, subtracted, or rephrased based on what you and your teams are facing right now.

The expeditions include a live kickoff workshop and subsequent coaching/working/learning sessions to take the team from 'what is it' to 'integrated workflow.'

  1. Raise AI fluency: introduce shared language and mental models amongst the group
  2. Identify “directionality” for key areas of AI strategy even though final destinations are unclear
  3. Understand the impact of AI, especially generative AI, on your clients, industry, and society at large
  4. Launch a “version one” internal strategy, including AI opportunities and risks to the current business—and budget
  5. Co-create an “AI Pipeline” of AI use cases and integration tools for the team to prioritize and execute against
  6. Lay out top-level ethical and operational guidelines/principles for AI in your work
  7. Practice actual use of generative AI (and other AI/automation/augmentation tools)
  8. Integrate key use cases into everyday workflows

And yes, of course, I do run a business—so if you're interested in one of these, that would be good to know, too. I'm especially keen on teams in Mexico and South Africa who want to book this, as I have upcoming trips with limited space in them.

This is a great post by Pavel Samsonov of Amazon Web Services (AWS) about the difference between solving user problems vs. solving tool problems. Good #productManagement can help prevent this, but it's far too easy to slip in our biases into the declaration of a problem. What do I mean? Well, "the user doesn't know how to use the AI chatbot we introduced" has the implicit assumption that the user /wanted/ to use the AI chatbot that was introduced. It may not actually be a problem for the user, if the chatbot wasn't their preferred way to interact with your app or service. It may be that existing momentum on that feature justifies further optimization of the tool, when the actual objective is a user being able to, say, quickly pay their bill with minimal hassle. Be careful of the tool biases we introduce—they are a slippery slope to making what my father disparagingly calls "the self-licking popsicle."
