Hi everyone! In just over a week, Pete and I will be riding in the New England Parkinson's ride for the 3rd year in a row. It will be our second time taking part in the 100 mile ride. It's a beautiful route through the coast of Maine and for a great cause: all donations go directly to the Michael J Fox Foundation to find a cure for and support people currently living with Parkinson's Disease.
It is very likely that, like me, someone you love is impacted by Parkinson's Disease. PD is the second most common neurological disease after Alzheimer's: in the United States, approximately 60,000 new cases will be diagnosed this year alone. It is estimated that 1.24 million Americans will be diagnosed by 2030. There is no known cure but this is what the MJFF is trying to change, and we are riding to support this effort.
