Now you know a goat grazer! My new company, Goats on the Go Oakland, provides mobile goat grazing for mitigating fire fuel and nuisance plants on spaces that range from backyards up to five acres. The goats eat poison oak, blackberry bushes, scotch broom, and other invasive and nuisance plants that would prevent people from enjoying their properties. We bring our own fencing, water troughs, and hungry Kiko goats (and a few sheep). We transport and manage the herd and provide an environmentally progressive choice, so folks can avoid using herbicides or weed wackers, which could spark a fire. Plus goats are really fun! https://lnkd.in/gr8uprSm

NorCal: OAKLAND/BERKELEY/ALAMEDA: We're hiring dog walkers to walk/hike a pack of dogs in the hills (some or all off leash). Some of our employees have told us that working with the beloved dogs of the East Bay is their favorite job ever! We walk dogs in Oakland, Berkeley, and Alameda. https://lnkd.in/gEWRE7UW

These are employee positions, with benefits, starting at $18-$20/hour (DOE), 10-30 hours a week. We pay for continuing education and we have a positive-reinforcement (R+) orientation--both with the pets we take care of and our own team! You must be able to pass a criminal background check, be a safe driver, and have a access to a vehicle that can hold six dogs. We would prefer to hire someone who has availability Monday through Friday during regular work hours (we don't need employees to work weekends or evenings).

Please send a cover letter and resume to [email protected]. Your resume doesn't have to reflect pet care if you haven't done that professionally, but please take the time to tell us in your cover letter about your experience with dogs, whether it's professional, volunteer, or personal.

We give priority to folks who have experience or education with positive-reinforcement (R+) training methods. You must have a clean driving record and pass a criminal background check. We are committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment, regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, gender, national origin, age, sexual orientation, disability, or gender identity.
