Patience my little grasshopper... Part 6 of 6
Time. When we look at our lives - personally and professionally - time is the only commodity that we have a limited amount of. James Clear invites us to ask: "What would I be delighted to spend time on, even if it went slowly?".
For me, it's relationship building. I've always been happiest when I get to know someone. It's never instantaneous. It's like a slow dance at many many weddings and proms!
My clients often ask about 'how to communicate something difficult to a team member'. My response usually begins with this question: How much time have you spent getting to know this person?
There is a saying: "The speed of trust determines the depth of the relationship". But here's what I think. There is no short cut to getting to trust. It's part of the journey and it's built in every interaction. Which is my happy place and where I want to spend most of my time.
What about you? What would you be delighted to spend time on, even if it went slowly?

Professional jobs beware...?
"Accenture concluded that 63% of hours worked in New York City could be "automated or augmented by generative AI," compared to 44% of hours worked across the United States. Financial services industries topped the list: Around 70% of hours worked could be affected by AI."
Depends on your mindset. Scarcity or abundance. Which one are you? What are you doing in your work that is automated or augmented by AI that is saving you time to do something with more value? Share your ideas!
