MSc Anne Choate

Senior Vice President, Energy, Environment and Infrastructure at ICF

Anne Choate is currently the Senior Vice President for ICF’s Energy, Environment, and Infrastructure operating group, where she leads a team advising various types of customers on energy markets, renewables, climate change, and more. With over 25 years of experience, she has worked extensively in the fields of climate, energy, and transportation. Choate has a rich history at ICF, having started in 1995 and since then expanded her expertise in climate adaptation, energy resilience, clean energy analysis, and implementation support.

Throughout her career, Choate has been deeply involved in decarbonization planning, carbon target-setting, and resiliency efforts for cities, utilities, national parks, and transportation departments. One of her significant achievements includes leading the Gulf Coast Project, assessing climate change impacts on transportation infrastructure, which showcased innovative risk screening tools and mitigation strategies. Additionally, she has contributed to national reports like the National Climate Assessment and currently serves on the National Academies Transportation Research Board Committee.

Anne Choate's educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Science from Duke University and a Master of Science in Environmental Science from The Johns Hopkins University. She launched her career as an intern at the US Environmental Protection Agency. Beyond her professional roles, Choate is also a trustee on the Pennsylvania Board of The Nature Conservancy.
