Today, I am thanking all individuals, both men and women, who helped me break the bias and personally made an impact.
Born in a conservative family, my parents inspired me to be independent and break the bias!!
Day 1 at UST, had the opportunity to meet amazing leaders: Gita Niketh's words which I will cherish forever: “I noticed you when entering this room. Well dressed, looking professional, and confident. Wishing you all success.” It inspired me and my career like nothing else ever did.
6 months into my job, then, I got engaged to the love of my life. I had to move to Chennai with no other option but to quit my job. randomly met Arun K Narayanan in an elevator. While I was stepping out, he kindly offered a job for my husband. Everyone knows its not easy to get through his interview questions. The rest is history :).
My husband, Imthiaz Sherriff who always wanted to be an entrepreneur, left his start-up to be with me. I would not be the same without him. He has always been part of my journey and sacrificed what he wanted for my career and happiness.
Thank you to Ranjith Varma and Sivaprasad Thankappan Pillai, my first manager who coached and guided me. More than a manager, Siva became a friend and a guide.I still remember his random call when my dad met with an accident and went into a coma stage while I was stuck in US . His words and support helped us overcome this situation Lot of gratitude for him even today.
I was offered an onsite role which unfortunately didn’t work out. and this time it was Gilroy Mathew who helped me go through all these hurdles.
