It's that time of year again - one of my all-time favorite celebrations, the AACCO Arab "Mahrajan" Festival, is this Sunday, September 3, at Oaks Park. The event runs from 11 AM to 7 PM, and admission is free and open to everyone.
I've been involved in AACCO for many years now, and this organization has taught me so much about our community, our culture, and how to find the shared threads that really bring us all together. The festival is the best of our organization, and I hope you'll stop by! Delicious food, live music, lots of cultural vendors, and friends to share the experience with.
See you Sunday!!
