Dr. Naji Abi-Hashem is a Lebanese-American clinical and cultural psychologist, public speaker, author, consultant, and visiting professor. He was appointed as a Non-Resident Scholar at Baylor University's Institute for Studies in Religion (ISR) in April 2019. Dr. Abi-Hashem holds advanced degrees in Clinical Psychology (Ph.D., 1992) from Rosemead Graduate School of Psychology at Biola University, Pastoral and Cultural Studies (M.Div., 1985) from Golden Gate Theological Seminary, and Psychology (B.S., 1984) from California Baptist College. He also earned a degree in Electronics (T.S., 1974) from the Institut Technique Supérieur in Beirut.14
He has served as a staff psychologist with the Meier Clinics (1992–2004) and as a visiting scholar at institutions such as Fuller Theological Seminary and the Graduate Theological Union. Dr. Abi-Hashem is an active member of numerous professional organizations and has authored over 120 academic publications. He divides his time between the U.S. and Beirut, Lebanon.135
