Nanne Dekking is the Founder and CEO of Artory, a prominent company in physical artwork tokenization and blockchain-secured provenance information registration for artworks and collectibles. Artory, established in 2016, is known for its innovative Artory Registry, a blockchain database providing verified information about artworks and collectibles, offering buyers and collectors confidence in the transactions. Since its full launch in late 2019, Artory has amassed a global database worth over $1B of verified physical and digital artworks. In 2021, Artory ventured into tokenizing physical artworks for secure trade in financial and crypto markets.

Prior to his role at Artory, Nanne Dekking served as Vice Chairman and the Worldwide Head of Private Sales at Sotheby’s New York, where his close connections with collectors and museums played a significant role in enhancing private sales. Before Sotheby’s, Nanne held the position of Vice President at Wildenstein & Co., offering counsel to individuals, museums, and foundations on collections development. He was also the founder of Nanne Dekking Fine Arts, an art consultancy firm and gallery in New York from 1996-2001. Furthermore, Nanne Dekking previously served as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees at The European Fine Art Fair (TEFAF) till June 2020 and is presently an advisory board member of the Responsible Art Market Initiative. Additionally, he is a regular contributor on art market, blockchain, and tokenization topics for reputable publications like Bloomberg and The Financial Times.

Starting his career post-graduation from the University of Amsterdam, Nanne Dekking held distinguished roles in The Netherlands, including Deputy Administrative Director of the Dutch National Ballet. His early career began as an Assistant Curator of the Historical Collections of HM The Queen of The Netherlands.
