Highlights
For those of you who wondered if I was ever going to put on hard pants (and not just my Lederhose) and hit the workforce again, wait no more!
I am incredibly excited to have found my way to Friday! For those of you who know me, the insurance industry was probably not your first guess for my dream job. But that is exactly what makes Friday such a great fit: Christoph Samwer and team have a vision to create insurance products that consumers can understand and that actually work. They are on the side of customers in reducing nonsense paper and overhead and getting back to products that do what customers need. There is no reason insurance cannot be awesome; it just takes leaders who have that vision and won’t let go until they bring it about. Super pleased with the Baloise Group’s very long view, as well. It provides us the perfect blend between outsider and established player with a seat at the table.
That said, the hard work is long since not done if we are going to realize this vision. As Friday looks to scale its customer base, product offering, and internal processes, there are variety of big and hairy problems to overcome and I am glad that I can get in on the journey at such an early and exciting stage.
