Nathaniel Thom

Associate Professor at Wheaton College

Nathaniel Thom is an Associate Professor at Wheaton College in the Biology Department with a passion for teaching and mentoring. Prior to his current role, Nathaniel Thom was part of a team at the Naval Health Research Center, where he studied the neural aspects of elite performance and assessed training programs to enhance responses to stress. His specialties include psychophysiology, particularly electroencephalography, and epidemiology. He is also skilled in statistics, specifically structural equation modeling and meta-regression.

Nathaniel Thom holds a MS and PhD in Exercise Science from The University of Georgia and a BS in Biology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. His previous positions include Assistant Professor and Senior Consultant at Wheaton College, Adjunct Professor of Biology at Point Loma Nazarene University, and Stress Physiologist at Science Applications International Corporation.
