💁🏻‍♀️What does Women’s Health have to do with women in leadership? Everything.💁🏻‍♀️

If we don’t have female-identifying representation in the decisions being made in healthcare, then we will continue to have misrepresentation of female care in healthcare.

In the latest MaRS Mornings on International Women’s Day, I gathered these insights:

💡 Women comprise 71% of the global workforce in healthcare but only about 23% of CEO’s in healthcare are women

💡 Getting women in leadership is more than checking a box; what are they bringing to the table and how are they pushing change?

💡 empathy, kindness, authenticity (markers of feminine energy) are what make a difference in our organizations and are the markers of true leadership

💡 when we think about increasing the presence of female leadership, we need to be thinking about whether we have the right recruitment policies, do we have the right goals, right flex workplace policies, are men a part of the conversations?

We don’t just need women leaders, but great women leaders. How do we ensure that we prepare the female-identifying talent we work with to step into leadership that is vulnerable, supportive, authentic...and ultimately impactful?
