Highlights
Una Studio is finally here :)
I'd been working with different brands and organizations on and off for a few years now, but full-time jobs kept getting in the way of placing it all under a single structure.
Una Studio is a one-woman studio (for now).
It's a studio dedicated to ideas, stories, and projects that connect the two. More specifically, it specializes in brand strategy, content development, and editorial direction (among others).
Please feel free to reach out, say hi, drop a note (& let me know if you have tips on building and maintaining structure, integrity, and boundaries around your own work while balancing the requirements of other commitments). I'll be over at [email protected].
Thanks for reading along. With love, Naz 💫
Accidentally deleted the first version of this, so here it goes again:
Posting a very un-LinkedInesque bit of writing here, just because I think this platform, like all others, has a tendency to favor the "up"s instead of the consistencies or constants, the downs, the doubts or setbacks, which can create a very distorted view of reality.
If I can contribute anything to all this noise, I hope it's a bit of transparency, realness and vulnerability that's certainly not unique to any one person, but may feel so because it's not often talked about or shared.
So here goes a bit of it (transported here from IG):
I’m not sure if its some planetary movements, the weather, my period, or simply life, but recently my immune system has been a bit off and I’ve been feeling physically not my best self. Nothing major, but consistent enough to make me feel off (like a constant mosquito buzz behind your ear that you can’t get rid of).
This, coupled with questions of what my true “purpose” is, why people younger than me seem to have accomplished so much more in their short(ish) lives and why I still am not sure what I want to be when I grow up (or if I will ever be), what my impact on this planet is, what I may leave behind…
And this all coupled with the pain and suffering in our neighbor Palestine and in other parts of the world and recent back to back news of cruelty against animals in my home country… have all left me feeling a bit debilitated and empty and wondering what the meaning and lesson(s) behind all of these things may be. So I just wanted to say: I guess it’s ok to feel this way too and that we're not alone in it.
Also in the last few days, I received 2-3 messages of encouragement and just pure sweetness from people I haven’t yet met face to face, that have touched me so very deeply (perhaps because they made me feel seen and recognized in a way I wasn’t expecting at all).
I’m not sure where I’m headed with this essay(?) but I guess I wanted to share ~the feels~ and say that it might really turn someone’s day around if you feel like sending someone you haven’t spoken to in a while or someone whose work or way of existing you admire a message and share how you feel about them.
There’s a lot of sadness and pain in this world but also very kind people and sweet animals and angel babies being born each day. There’s room for all of it I guess.
And it’s really sweet to tell people how you feel and how you see them, because sometimes we need to hear how someone else sees us to see ourselves (and the world) in a better, more hopeful, more uplifting light. ✨
Ok that’s all! Thanks for reading along.
