Dr. Ndidi Nnoli-Edozien is a highly accomplished professional in the field of business sustainability and governance.
She played a pivotal role as the Group Chief Sustainability and Governance Officer at Dangote Industries Limited, Africa's largest conglomerate, from March 2017 to June 2020, where she spearheaded the integration of sustainability practices and reporting across the group.
She led Dangote Cement in developing its first GRI certified Sustainability Report, setting global benchmarks in 2018, and achieving full compliance by unveiling it at the Nigerian Stock Exchange in 2019.
With a background in Economics and International Relations from The London School of Economics and Political Science and a Doctorate in Ethics, Governance & Sustainability from Goethe University, Frankfurt, Dr. Nnoli-Edozien brings a wealth of academic knowledge to her professional endeavors.
Prior to her tenure at Dangote, she held various roles, including serving as a Senior Lecturer at the Lagos Business School/Pan-Atlantic University, where she focused on public-private partnerships, ethics, sustainability, and social entrepreneurship.
She has also been actively involved in the World Bank/IFC as a nominee Director and co-chairs the Private Sector Advisory Group on SDGs, showcasing her commitment to global development initiatives.
Dr. Nnoli-Edozien has a rich history of founding and leading organizations such as the Growing Businesses Foundation, which supports sustainable local economies, and Rising Tide Africa, a platform empowering women in business.
Her expertise extends to the financial sector, having founded the SecTrust Asset Management Division and held positions in strategic planning and monitoring at the Nigerian Communications Commission.
As an accomplished author and speaker, Dr. Nnoli-Edozien continues to contribute to the discourse on sustainability, governance, and ethical business practices.
She is a fluent German speaker, with conversational French skills, and her educational background includes completing the Advanced Management Program at The Wharton School.
Currently, she serves as the Chair & Partner at AfriKairos GmbH and has been associated with prestigious organizations like the Weltethos Institut Research Group, Global Reporting Initiative, and Circular Economy Innovation Partnership, further solidifying her reputation as a thought leader in sustainability and governance.
