Highlights
What a week!
First up - my first visit to the CIPD #FestivalOfWork! A fantastic couple of days and a difference kind of experience - not just great speakers and exhibitors, but a fantastically knowledgeable People Library, puppy therapy (yes!) and ESG being given a lot more prominence. Thankfully, I had my conference buddy, Agnieszka Opaska, to share it all with.
However, one undoubted highlight was the fringe event held between the two days. Big thanks to Phil Willcox, Owen Ferguson and Nahdia Khan for hosting our 'hot takes'! Shout out also to Mike Collins, Gaelle Watson, Michelle Parry-Slater, Jayne Davids, Julie Drybrough, Amanda Arrowsmith Chartered FCIPD, Martin Baker, Rosie Haighton, Adam Harwood, Lior Locher and, for the briefest of moments, Sukhvinder Pabial for making it one of the best L&D nights I've had for years. I absolutely needed that!
They say you should never meet your heroes, however, the other highlight was finally meeting Simon Heath. I won't embarrass him any further, other than to say it was an absolute pleasure to see him in action.
Finally topped the week off with the launch of our new LMS, the culmination of the last 9 months work. I have no doubt that this will all hit me next week...
It's that time of year again (except for when it used to be in February) when we get to celebrate all things learning and technology at, er, Learning Technologies 2023 #lt23uk
Feeling priveleged to be here in what is my 9th conference visit, and looking forward to generally having my mind blown and meeting everyone all at the same time. Again.
