Nestor Bazán, originally known as Nestor Trujillo, hails from Cuba and moved to the United States as a political refugee. Growing up in the diverse environment of Miami, FL, Nestor developed a deep appreciation for literature, cinema, and a strong work ethic that fueled his interest in storytelling. His filmmaking endeavors focus on exploring the lives of marginalized individuals, particularly within the Cuban-American community, and delving into the complexities of identity and existence on society's fringes.

After completing his B.F.A. in Film and Television Production at the USC School of Cinematic Arts, Nestor divides his time between South Florida and Los Angeles. Eager to utilize his broad skill set in film production encompassing directing, editing, and sound design, he aspires to establish himself in the film industry. His recent project, a poignant short film titled 'Memories of Development,' captures the struggles of a Cuban adolescent navigating his sexual orientation in the midst of Hurricane Irma's impact.
