Nettra Pan

Ξntrepreneurship Lecturer at Bayes Business School (formerly Cass)

Dr Nettra Pan is a Lecturer at Bayes Business School (formerly known as Cass). Her research and teaching focus is purpose-driven innovation and entrepreneurship.

Nettra’s courses aim to help students, founders and executives identify and build profitable opportunities most meaningful to them and to their community. Her research investigates the psychology, governance and funding mechanisms behind the new ways of organizing that help founders to achieve these goals. Why start your own project if you're not going to do it the right way?

Nettra's teaching is inspired by her own mixed-method research on new venture and innovation strategy as well as other peer-reviewed sources in social and psychological science.

Nettra also is the co-founder of Crypto Beyond Currency and the Pathfinders Institute. She serves on the board of Directors of the Sandbox community, a network committed to increasing access to experiences, relationships and resources that allow young innovators to create the best version of themselves. Nettra is an early-investor and advisor to early-stage venture funds, as well as social, crypto and deep-tech ventures.

How can we weave healthy communities? That’s the question at the heart of the newly launched Community Weaving Framework by Fabian Pfortmüller Michel Bachmann Erin Dixon Sita Magnuson. They offer a lens on the complex and often misued term community-building using five key ideas that they call the 🔥 Fire, 🕸️ the Web, 🥁 the Rhythm, ◎ the Circles and the 〰️Spiral. Notably, the team has been intentional about each word choice in the description of these ideas, shining a light on important indigenous figures and non-violent metaphors that are just as--if not more!--effective in helping community members achieve their goals. For anyone who wants to nurture a community that they are part of, these ideas are helpful. Explore the free materials here: www.community-weaving.org
