Highlights
A year into the pandemic we're all still experimenting with ways to connect and collaborate in the virtual world. I’m delighted to share one technique my colleagues and I at Mineral found to be fun and effective from last week’s #WorldAgriTech Summit: a virtual brainstorm
We set up a Google Doc with some “What if” scenarios, put on some tunes, and invited attendees on the call to share their ideas — any ideas — by popping them in the doc. Our prompt question was: what would you do if you could see every berry in every bush in every one of your fields?
We weren’t sure if it would work - getting a good brainstorm session going in the real world is hard - and we worried that working together anonymously in a Google Doc would kill our creativity. But just 15 minutes into the session, people had shared over 100 ideas!
Like most brainstorms most of the ideas shared last week won’t go anywhere but it was amazing to see the imagination on display, how easily everyone riffed on each others’ ideas and that it’s still possible to be spontaneous and creative — even on a video call.
Thank you to everyone who joined our session and I look forward to seeing you all again soon — hopefully next time in the “real” world.
Excited to share what we've been working on at X!
