Nicholas Marchio is a team-oriented data scientist with over ten years of diverse experience in various sectors including academia, non-profits, consulting, politics, and local government.

He currently serves as a researcher at the Mansueto Institute for Urban Innovation at the University of Chicago, specializing in applying data science and machine learning to understand urban science.

With a background as a Data Science Engineer for the Bernie 2020 campaign and as a Senior Data Scientist at Civis Analytics, Nicholas has a proven track record of utilizing predictive modeling in B2C tech, local government, and political contexts.

During his time as an Associate Fellow at the Brookings Institution, he co-authored multiple reports focusing on supply chains, industrial dynamics, and global trade patterns within urban areas.

Nicholas Marchio holds a Master of Science in Applied Economics from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and International Studies from Macalester College.
