Nick Black is a passionate individual who embarked on a journey driven by a desire to make a difference in the lives of veterans and individuals struggling with suicide.

After being commissioned as an Army Officer from Johns Hopkins University, Nick led Paratroopers in Afghanistan with the 173rd Airborne, where the loss of one of his soldiers to suicide spurred him to co-found Stop Soldier Suicide in 2011.

Realizing the importance of democratizing philanthropy, Nick co-founded GoodUnited in 2013 to ensure everyone could engage meaningfully with charitable causes, irrespective of financial means.

Recognizing the untapped potential of social networks as a platform for giving, he focused on developing fundraising CRM software to facilitate donations through social media channels.

Nick's educational background includes an MBA in Entrepreneurship and Marketing from UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School and a BA in Political Science from The Johns Hopkins University.

His professional journey includes roles as Founder & CEO of GoodUnited, Vice-Chairman of the Board at Stop Soldier Suicide, and service as a Captain in the US Army.
