I tend to keep my 'career' separate from my 'career' and as such rarely (actually maybe never) post about this. But this is my other career as a foster carer. The system is on its knees, it's under funded but more importantly massively understaffed by the most critical people, the foster carers. It relies so much on these amazing people (present company excluded) but we are all capable of doing something. Barnet have joined with over 80 other Local Authorities to produce a short foster film called 'Any of Us' - made me proud of what my family do and hopefully will encourage others to understand the value of these amazing people (again present company definitely excluded, I kinda just muddle through)
