My excitement is through the roof for this weekend's showdown between the Springboks and the All Blacks! And I’m even more excited to see next weekend’s clash in person in Cape Town!

This rivalry has produced some of rugby's most legendary moments of brilliance, controversy, and intense competition.

From their first clash in 1921, it was clear that this was more than just a contest between two rugby teams. It was a battle between two nations with a deep passion for the sport.

Every time these two giants face each other, you know it's going to be 80 minutes of raw power, strategic brilliance, and relentless determination.

One of my all-time highlights is the 1995 Rugby World Cup final. Seeing Nelson Mandela, wearing the green and gold, hand over the trophy to Francois Pienaar still gives me chills. What an unforgettable moment of national pride and unity!

This weekend, I know our boys in green and gold will step onto that field ready to give their all. New Zealand may be a formidable opponent, but the Springboks have the fire to rise to the occasion and create another legendary chapter in this epic rivalry!

A couple of weeks ago, I shared some exciting news about the R58 billion judgement in the Mozambique Tuna Bonds Scandal - a major win against corruption in Africa.

Recently, an article was released that examines the case, Moore Johannesburg’s contributions, and the broader impact on financial integrity worldwide. It’s a read that is well worth your time.

Let me give you a brief snapshot of this historic case:

The scandal involved over $2 billion in loans for a so-called tuna fishing project that spiralled into corruption and financial misconduct. As the lead banking expert witness in the UK trial, I had a front-row seat to the battle for accountability.

The court’s ruling in July 2024, awarding Mozambique just over $825 million from Privinvest and indemnity on $1.5 billion owed to lenders, sets a powerful precedent: even the most formidable institutions can and will be held accountable.

This case shows the need for vigilance and ethical conduct in global finance, especially in emerging markets where the stakes are highest.

Standing by Mozambique in this fight was a proud moment. The judgement reinforces the importance of perseverance and doing what’s right.
