Gosh darn. Learning the stories of the Major League Hacking (MLH) community makes me so proud about what MLH has done and excited about the future.

Today, we work with 1 in 3 CS majors in the US and thousands more worldwide to help them learn new things, make friends, and have incredible fun experiences all while preparing them for their careers. Our community is significantly more diverse than technology writ large, thanks to the incredible contributions of the members in it. Nearly half (47%) of the people in the MLH community identify as women, non-binary, or other genders not represented widely in technology. 59% identify as underrepresented in technology and 87% of our community identifies as BIPOC.

But those are just stats, the stories are incredible. While 41% of our community say our events & programs CHANGED THEIR LIVES, it's hard to understand what that means and the incredible things these hackers have done from there.

The #MLHTop50 is our annual compilation of 50 community members who have done incredible things and inspired us. This year, I had the pleasure of being more involved with the creation of the list than ever, and I am so excited about the people I got to meet through reading their profiles.

Take a look at this video and if you're interested click around to read some of the stories, you won't be disappointed.
