Nick Wolff is a Hardware Qualification Engineer with a strong focus on storage systems, including FreeNAS and TrueNAS. He possesses in-depth expertise in DNS, Juniper, Freebsd, Python, routing, BGP, and TCP/IP. Nick is known for his hardworking nature, self-motivation, and ability to excel both in independent tasks and team settings.

In 2016, Nick participated in the CAIDA BGP Hackathon, engaging in team-based coding projects centered around 'live BGP measurements and monitoring.' His work involved research on the routing impact of adding/removing BGP anycast instances on the global internet, utilizing tools like ripestat and the USC peering testbed. Nick's team was recognized by judges as one of the top projects out of 14 teams. Additionally, he delivered a talk on 'FreeBSD 8 to 10' at BSDCAN 2016, highlighting a Freebsd 10 deployment carried out at OARnet.

Nick pursued his education in Computer Science and Engineering at The Ohio State University and also studied Cisco Networking at Auburn Career Center. Throughout his career, he has held various roles at iXsystems, including Platform and Performance Engineer, Hardware Qualification Engineer, Tier 2 QA Engineer, and Support Engineer. His earlier experiences include positions such as Backbone Routing Engineer and Support Agent at OARnet, where he also served as a Network Engineering Student.
