Nicole McDonald is a dedicated professional with a focus on advancing reconciliation, increasing Indigenous philanthropy, and supporting individual changemakers and grassroots organizations in accessing the charitable sector.

Her academic background includes pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) with a concentration in Correctional Policy and Aboriginal Peoples, as well as holding a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Political Studies and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in International/Global Studies - Conflict and Cooperation from the University of Saskatchewan.

Nicole has been actively involved in various organizations, holding key roles such as Co-Founder at Indigenous Philanthropy Advisors, Member of the Board of Directors at Definity Foundation, President of the Board of Directors at SecondMuse Foundation, and Chair of the Board of Directors at SeedChange / Sème l’avenir.

She has also served in leadership positions at organizations like MakeWay, The J.W. McConnell Family Foundation, and Public Safety Canada, where she contributed significantly to program development, Indigenous initiatives, and policy analysis related to Aboriginal affairs and Northern development.
