Nidhi Kapate

PhD Student in Stanford's Department of Materials Science and Engineering

Nidhi Kapate was a Summer Undergraduate Research Fellow (SURF) at Caltech's Kavli Nanoscience Institute in 2019.1 She worked on a project to create biosensor devices for in vivo environments under the mentorship of Axel Scherer, Matthew Hunt, and Alex Wertheim.1

Prior to her fellowship at Caltech, Nidhi was an undergraduate student at the University of Pennsylvania, where she studied Materials Science and Engineering with a minor in Math.2 She was also a member of the Jariwala Group at Penn, where she focused on researching the photocatalytic and physical properties of transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDCs).2

After completing her undergraduate studies, Nidhi submatriculated into the Materials Science and Engineering Master's program at Penn.2 In the fall of 2020, she began her Ph.D. in the Materials Science and Engineering department at Stanford University.2
