How’s the surf after your break?
Hopefully you got some well deserved time to slow down and recharge.
And what about the masterplan with the things you really want? Is the dream still alive? Is your gut happy with the progress?
Maybe you made your first masterplan from your hammock. Or picked a new North Star.
I always take a moment during my vacation to update the only note I have in Evernote (it's called 'Me' and it's the only note I kept since 2010)
Early morning. Quiet spot. Usually a beach and an ocean breeze.
I go through last year’s entries, color code them (green, orange, red - I know, I know...), delete what’s no longer relevant, edit and add my new ambitions.
No inspiring manifesto of a masterplan, but a simple bullet point list of my key choices and wishes for the period to come.
They're my cheat sheet of do’s and don’ts. My life journey to do list.
Action oriented. Positive. Achievable and urgent enough to make it to the 'Me' list. A list that helps me live life more in line with my values.
A functional list but a ritual I love. Maybe you have yours too?
But how do you kick off your new plans, follow through on big decisions, make those tough changes… when back-to-work, or back-to-life, can be a real challenge in itself?
Good news: we're back from our breaks too 😎
Let's catch some waves.

Let me take care of this...
Do you always take care of everyone (and forget about yourself)?
Usually no one needs to ask for help, as you've already taken care of it all. Recognizable? Then you may have "the helper," or type 2, high on your enneagram profile.
You are a great colleague who knows everyone's needs. You know the different personalities and adapt to everyone's needs. Before you know it you run the risk of losing yourself.
Unconsciously, type 2 believes: 'the more I give you, the more you love me'. Meanwhile, the helper keeps precise track of all the gifts, and if the love isn't returned and the balance gets too skewed type 2 suddenly can show their dark side.
When you realize that people love you for who you are and not for what you do, you can temper your own type 2. Because that's the beauty of the enneagram, you are not a type, you have a type.
The Enneagram is a personality model and provides insight into our personal patterns, strengths and challenges, divided into 9 specific types. Everyone has all these types, but some types are dominant. Insight into this leads to a world of discoveries, to ultimately take more meaningful charge of ourselves and to work better with others. Wherever and with whoever we are.
On our website you can discover which type ranks high with you: https://lnkd.in/gsH4pz4j
