Interesting Data( Putting my Data Analyst hat on) there is a clear impact of having exam in pandemic on final results. Here are my observations :
-
General economically well group got through with almost same percentile as last year. Which means that no impact of pandemic on exams on them
-
There is 10% drop is cuttoff os Ews general category students. Looks like a lot of people missed the exam in this section due to lack of resources to travel of loss of livelihood of parents creating tension at home. The actual impact could be even larger since Ews was new last year and not a lot of students would have utilized the benefit
-
Similar 10% drop seen in SC and ST category
-
Most evident is drop in PwD quota cuttoff with almost 50%. Clear impact of pandemic on person with disabilities
Although I was in favor of holding the exam but this data does point out inequalities in our society and failure of government to ensure everyone has the equal opportunity.
