Team Leader, Climate Risk Management at World Food Programme

Nina Raasakka is a dedicated environmental professional with an extensive academic background in the field, holding a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Management from Imperial College London and a Master of Science in Environmental Change and Management from the University of Oxford.

Nina Raasakka has accumulated a wealth of experience working with various prestigious organizations. She currently serves as the Team Leader for the Climate Risk Management team at the World Food Programme's Ethiopia Country Office.

Prior to her current role, Nina Raasakka held positions of significant responsibility, including Programme Officer within the Climate Change Team at the Asia and the Pacific Office of UN Environment, Task Manager in the GEF Africa Portfolio within the Climate Change Adaptation Unit at UN Environment, and Risk Manager at Acclimatise Group Ltd.

In addition, Nina Raasakka has also contributed to policy and research initiatives, having worked as an Assistant Policy Officer at the European Commission and engaged in research internships at the Earthwatch Institute and the Finnish Forest Research Institute.

With a diverse background that spans policy development, risk management, and research, Nina Raasakka possesses a multifaceted skill set that enables her to make valuable contributions to environmental and climate change mitigation efforts globally.
