24 months ago, our CEO Matt Schulman pitched the idea for “Project Real-time Data”, a compensation data graph that was API-powered and provided real-time compensation benchmarking data. Companies would no longer need to submit surveys every few months to stay up to date.
We decided to test the concept and launched with a network of 5 VCs and a couple hundred companies. The feedback was instantly positive, but in every conversation we were reminded that the go-to source of data was still Option impact. Pave may have had the better technology, but Option Impact’s scale built over the last 20 years was unparalleled.
24 hours ago, Pave announced that we were acquiring Option Impact, and the rest of the Advanced-HR product suite, to marry these two forces and form the market leading compensation data product.
In our team All-Hands we shared some of principles how we’re going to make the most of this new partnership. I’d like to share them here:
🔨 We earn customers, we don’t buy them. We will do everything in our power to build trust with Option Impact customers. We want to hear from you and build a product that delights you.
🧬 Integrations are in our DNA. The magic of Pave is data collection and management via integrations. We can’t wait to show you what it’s like to work with real-time data.
⭐️ Do right by customers. We focus on delivering customer value and ensure we do right by each and every customer. Every customer of Option Impact, Option Driver, or VCECS will be better served because of this acquisition.
There is a long road ahead of us to make our vision a reality, but I’m proud to stand alongside such an exceptional team of people making it possible.
