Highlights
I’m excited to share that, following the acquisition of Petal by Empower, I will be shifting my full-time efforts to Prism Data.
We launched Prism a few years ago, initially as part of Petal, and it’s been incredible to help build this business from the ground up. I couldn’t be more excited about what’s ahead for Prism, and to continue our mission of expanding credit access to folks who’ve been underserved by traditional systems.
I’m also very excited about what’s ahead for Petal in combination with Empower, and will be rooting for the team and supporting however I can as an advisor.
Working at Petal for the last 4.5 years – through Covid and the subsequent ups and downs for fintechs and the broader economy – has been such a tremendous professional experience. It’s also been amazing to work with such a talented, mission-driven, devoted and gritty team. I’m very thankful for the opportunity and to all who’ve been part of the journey.
Bank account history is becoming credit history.
The CFPB's proposal for its Required Rulemaking on Personal Financial Data Rights represents a win-win for consumers and lenders. Consumers will have more opportunity than ever to demonstrate their creditworthiness in an intuitive and relatable way, through their everyday saving and spending behavior. And lenders will get a far clearer view into their customers' financial health.
