In a pre-summer chat, Nadia ✨ Carta shared the inspiring story behind her podcast, "99 humans," co-hosted with Jeff Lakusta. Their mission? To humanize the corporate world. I was curious about the episodes that left the biggest impact, especially considering the diverse range of leaders they've interviewed – from school principals and chefs to tech giants.
Nadia's insights on leadership from these conversations, are truly valuable.
She also touches on the importance of self-love and taming our inner critic – a topic that resonates deeply. The closing moments of our conversation were particularly powerful, leaving a lasting impression.
So thankful for this conversation Nadia. Looking forward to more "Conversations with Tec-HERs" as everyone comes back from holidays. #leadership #podcast #inspiration #selflove #techers #womenintech
My views are my own, though I have a very cool job at Google.
During a recent coaching workshop, the question was posed, "What do you like about coaching?". Many responses revolved around transformation and the profound 'shift' that can happen during a session. My answer, "I like it when they cry".
Here's why I said that: As children, we freely express emotions like crying and laughing, (ideally) with someone to hold that safe space for us. As adults, how often do we get to witness someone break down their walls and cry—whether from joy or a deep realization—during a coaching session?
My recent coaching refresher reinforced my belief in creating that space for raw, authentic emotion. So consider this my official permission slip to make you let it all out, even if it means shedding a few tears.
P.S: a few of you know that this can happen within minutes of starting a session with me 😂
