Excited to share that in addition to my role at Amazon Web Services (AWS), I’ll be serving as a Visiting Scholar at the University of Cambridge this upcoming year, continuing my research on the geopolitics of AI and compute. I’ll be working within the Centre for Geopolitics in collaboration with center director and historian Professor Brendan Simms. Looking forward to continue exploring this interdisciplinary and timely topic with cross-sector impact and share more insights from my research as the year progresses.

Was great being back at the University of Cambridge this past weekend to attend the graduation ceremony for my Master's in International Relations.

This marks the end of a two-year journey during which I got to research and write a dissertation under the title "From Steam Engines to AI: Historical Lessons on How AI is Reshaping Global Power in the 21st Century."

While we are at the early stages of the economic, social, and geopolitical transformations which AI might usher, reflecting on past technological revolutions—such as the printing press, steam engine, and electricity—can help inform us in both their similarities and their differences.

Grateful for the experience, the learning, my Amazon Web Services (AWS) managers' support as I was pursuing this degree part-time in addition to my full-time work, and everyone who provided words of encouragement.
