Ole Pahl

Ole Pahl is a prominent figure in the academic world, currently serving as the Associate Dean Research in the School of Computing, Engineering and Built Environment at Glasgow Caledonian University.

With over two decades of experience, Ole has established himself as a Full Professor in environmental technology, focusing on issues such as micro-pollutants in water, sustainable resource management, and trans-disciplinary environmental solutions.

Having obtained a PhD in Environmental Chemical Engineering from the University of Birmingham, Ole has held various research roles at prestigious institutions such as the Silsoe Research Institute, Cranfield University, the Meat and Livestock Commission, and National Energy Services.

His expertise extends to EU Interreg, Horizon 2020 projects, with a track record of securing significant funding exceeding €3 million for research initiatives.

Ole's current research interests revolve around tackling pharmaceutical micro-pollutants in water, energy recovery, and promoting environmental stewardship.

He has played a pivotal role in the development of the Water Research Group at Glasgow Caledonian University, a collaborative effort spanning multiple disciplines aimed at addressing key societal challenges related to water quality and environmental protection.
