AdMonsters Publisher Forum in Austin was a blast! It was the debut of the TeqBlaze brand at the live events journey, and we were proud to sponsor the conference along with other great ad tech vendors. The event was filled with meaningful conversations and sessions regarding transitioning to the cookie-less future, direct vs programmatic monetization strategies, in-housing the technology, and the increasing role of AI in operations.
Here are some of my key takeaways from the event:
- Even though we are quickly approaching the time Chrome cookies are to disappear, many publishers and industry players overall are either struggling to start testing solutions that will help to adapt to the changes or facing challenges around testing Google's privacy sandbox. For those who need help with navigating through these times, IAB Tech Lab's Privacy Sandbox Taskforce team is working on and has released a comprehensive report on the matter, on top the demo has been launched recently where everybody can see actual outcomes from using APIs.
- A handful of big publishers either are already working towards or evaluating bringing their ad stack in-house for SPO purposes, better optimization and control over inventories as well as being able to adopt various ID providers or have a custom setup for their 1st party data and audience solutions.
- AI and ML are out there helping companies on all fronts anywhere from day-to-day operations simplification and efficiency to ad revenue increasing through better decision-making processes around dynamic floor prices, bid-stream optimization etc. It is the question of not "if" but "when" to have it adopted so the companies can continue competing in the quickly changing market. #teqblaze #admonsters #pubforum #adtech
