Highlights
I’m happy to share that I’ve obtained a new certification: Certificate in Impact Investing from CFA UK!
🗳️ While I don't want to stray too far into politics, The Labour Party today released manifesto plans "to make the UK the "green finance capital of the world" by mandating all financial institutions, including pension funds, asset managers, insurers, and banks, to develop and implement credible transition plans aligned with the 1.5°C goal of the Paris Agreement."
🌎 In my view, financial institutions could be mandated to evolve their proprietary Net Zero plans and move towards a formal, regulatory Transition Plan Disclosure 📜, which could build on the current FSB Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) disclosure framework for UK financial institutions.
⚖ The TPT frameworks explicitly highlight nature and social issues alongside climate under the umbrella of a Just Transition. I think it would be a good time to re-read the Sector Guidance: https://lnkd.in/erZpKEdK 📖 Ben Caldecott Kate Levick Transition Plan Taskforce (TPT) ✍️
