Olivier Jenard is a seasoned professional with a strong background in humanitarian diplomacy, multilateral representation, and humanitarian coordination and support.

With twenty-five years of experience in the humanitarian and development sector, Olivier has dedicated his career to working in countries affected by armed conflict and violence.

He has undertaken long-term field missions in regions such as Central Africa, the Indian Ocean, Central and East Asia, and the Middle East, where he has been actively involved in planning, implementing, and managing humanitarian programs aimed at assisting and protecting civilians.

Olivier is well-versed in the EU environment, policies, and resource mobilization mechanisms, and has a proven track record of developing and maintaining multilateral networks.

His leadership and management skills have been honed through his experience in leading multicultural teams within the Red Cross/Red Crescent Movement.

Olivier has pursued various certifications and degrees to enhance his expertise, including a Master's degree in International Public Health and another in International Relations and Politics from Université catholique de Louvain.

He has also studied change management, virtual team leadership, and management of the nonprofit sector, complementing his practical experience with theoretical knowledge.

Having held key positions such as Head of Support at ICRC, Deputy Director at Red Cross EU Office, and Head of Regional Delegation for the Indian Ocean at ICRC, Olivier brings a wealth of experience to the table.

His tenure in senior and managerial roles at ICRC, along with previous positions at organizations like Croix-Rouge de Belgique, reflects his expertise and dedication to humanitarian causes.
