Otto Strauss is a Medical Manager at Roche Products in NZ with a focus on liver health. Previously, he served as a Medical Affairs Manager in the Rare Diseases team at Pfizer UK.

He has a diverse educational background, holding a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Immunology from The University of Auckland, a Postgraduate Diploma in Surgical and Radiological Anatomy from the University of Otago, and a Doctor of Medicine (MD) from the same institution.

Otto's research experience includes characterizing antigen presenting cells in the human liver using advanced microscopy and flow cytometry techniques during his PhD studies. He further delved into liver health and disease during a postdoctoral research position at the Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm.

His academic contributions are evident through publications in peer-reviewed journals and presentations at both local and international research forums. Noteworthy accolades include a Lectureship at the Department of Surgery, University of Auckland, as well as receiving prestigious scholarships for his doctoral research.

Prior to his research roles, Otto worked as a Medical Registrar at the Waitemata District Health Board and continued clinical work at Mercy and Ascot Hospitals and various medical facilities across New Zealand. He also engaged in medical education by teaching medical students at the University of Auckland and foreign medical graduates at the Auckland District Health Board.
