Founder at NC Stop Human Trafficking
Pam Strickland is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of NC Stop Human Trafficking, a nonprofit organization dedicated to combating human trafficking in North Carolina.12 She first became interested in the subject of human trafficking at a Missions Conference in 2006, where she learned about young girls being forced into prostitution in Asia.2
Pam has been actively involved in anti-trafficking efforts for over a decade. She has led three Mission Trips to Moldova to educate young people about trafficking prevention.2 She frequently speaks to community groups and conducts training for professionals such as social workers, counselors, teachers, law enforcement, nurses, and physician's assistants.12
With a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (1990), Pam has also been involved in managing her family's business, Electronic Services, Inc.12 Under her leadership, NC Stop Human Trafficking has founded and facilitated the Pitt County Coalition Against Human Trafficking and the Pitt County Human Trafficking Multidisciplinary Team.1
Pam is passionate about preventing labor trafficking internationally by educating people about Fair Trade and responsible consumerism.2 She has developed curriculum for foster parents, guardians ad litem, human trafficking 101 for the community, and on the connection between human trafficking and pornography.1
In her personal life, Pam enjoys spending time with her husband, son, and their two dogs. She also likes traveling, reading, and supporting the UNC Tar Heels.12
