Pamela Barrett

Postdoctoral Research Fellow at The Australian National University

Pamela Barrett is a highly-educated individual with a diverse academic background in Oceanography, Chemistry, and Political Science.

She completed her Doctor of Philosophy in Oceanography at the prestigious University of Washington and holds a B.S. in Chemistry and Political Science from the University of Rochester.

In addition, Pamela has also pursued further studies at San Francisco State University.

With a strong academic foundation, Pamela has contributed significantly to the field of earth sciences as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Research School of Earth Sciences, Australian National University.

Prior to this role, she served as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Washington, where she honed her expertise and research skills.

Pamela has also gained valuable experience in the political landscape through her role as a Policy Intern at the Consortium for Ocean Leadership.

Her journey in academia includes a stint as a PHD Candidate at the University of Washington and a rewarding experience as a Science Teacher at the Oakland Unified School District, where she shared her passion for science with the next generation.

Additionally, she has contributed to the scientific community as a Research Scientist at AMRI, showcasing her versatility and adaptability across different roles and responsibilities.
